Skywalk is a tourist attraction that is located at the Sydney Tower Eye. It consists of a mechanized glass floored viewing platform that projects beyond the perimeter of the Sydney Tower Eye and revolves around the tower to give patrons both horizon views of the city and views straight down to the centre of the CBD.

The platform is at a height of 268 metres above ground level and was completed in 2005. Nordon Jago was part of the consultant team that designed the project and prepared concept and working drawings including schemes for the merchandising and entry of the attraction in the Podium section of Sydney Tower.

“The Block” colloquially refers to the parcel of land bounded by Caroline, Ivy, Louis and Eveleigh Street Redfern. It had been acquired by the Aboriginal Housing Company (AHC) with the assistance of a grant from the Whitlam Government in 1972 to provide low cost housing for their community.

The land that is owned today by the AHC includes a parcel of land straddling Lawson Street and Caroline Street and another parcel of land on the eastern side of Eveleigh Street.

At the core of the project, the AHC is redeveloping the site to accommodate 62 low rental dwellings. It is also developing a student college, art gallery, boxing gym, childcare facility, commercial and retail space. These buildings will be held long term and the profit from the facilities will be used to subsidise the low rental housing .

Housing will be constructed in a number of formats and sizes so that a variety of accommodation will be available to people in different life stages. The intention is that this will help to maintain the cohesiveness and stability of the community by providing the capacity to continue to accommodate community members as their personal circumstances change.

The student college is being established to help foster new leadership within the community. It will be a mixed college so that mentorship, integration and mutual appreciation can be encouraged.
An integral part of the proposal is the construction of a new public space that will be built over the railway corridor and will encompass the demolition of the wall that separates the precinct from Lawson Street and Redfern Railway station. It will form part of a series of open spaces that will connect the existing community centre the new buildings and the city at large. It is a gesture of welcome from the AHC, to invite Sydney’s citizens to come to Pemulwuy

Parkside Apartments were constructed as part of the urban renewal of an empty industrial site that was previously occupied by Hoechst Chemicals. The site is located in the Barwon Park Triangle adjacent to Sydney Park.

The project consists of a two storey basement car park, and sixty three, one, two and three bedroom apartments housed in a four storey building. The site is located at the southern end of the Enmore shopping precinct and the Princes Highway frontage was built as retail space to initiate expansion of this usage.

The site presented some difficult environmental issues. The main frontage faced due west and is subject to heavy traffic noise. The site is also prone to aircraft noise due to its proximity to Kingsford Smith Airport.

The project was planned by placing the bedrooms, bathrooms, lifts and stairwells on the exposed Western face of the building and by introducing a central courtyard that gave the living spaces of the apartments easterly outlook and protection from the traffic noise from the Princes Highway.

Apartments make use of cross ventilation and large balconies. The roof was also utilised and all top floor apartments were designed with private roof gardens, all of which have extensive panoramic views.
