Stephen Nordon co-founded Nordon Jago Architects in 1990 after 12 years in general architectural practice, where he acted as associate director for six years. His early career focused on medium and large sized commercial, retail and industrial projects including the Sydney headquarters for Heidelberg, the Lakes Business Park and Regents Park Industrial Estate.

He was one of the early pioneers of the implementation of CAD software to architectural practice, first applying the Calcomp IGS 500 system in 1982 and early versions of Autocad in 1985. He has had a strong interest in the adaptive re-use of heritage structures. His objective for Nordon Jago Architects was to build a broad based architectural practice with a wide skill base and strong technical edge.
